and she knows that her "auntie jane is in france." pretty smart for 3, huh? i wish i could be in los angeles for quirina's big party. it's the talk of the town: little mermaid, snow white and her other princess friends will be there. skirts or dresses are the proper party attire. party activities include twirling and dancing on tippy toes. and if you bring kitties or dogs, make sure they're up for playing q-style - the more fluffy and furry, the more excited she becomes.

i feel like i'm a child these days. sometimes i think that a lot of children i see daily are smarter than me. being in france, learning to make french another first language, and working here: i don't know me so well. it doesn't matter where i'm from, who i knew, or what i did. the present is all i have, making up the map to my future as i go.
