i love new york

there's just something about that city. i can't describe the feeling really. i've got history there. so this last trip i visited mz. julie mae at her new spot in washington heights. up there for sure, but the a train does wonders for that. it was actually pretty chilly. rainy. only had my pentax so i couldn't take a lot of pictures, kind of dark. jules had a super cute digital point/shoot. used it for a lot of the time. i kind of forgot about this weekend and then jm sent me the outcome a few days ago.

friday: def not a walking day. boo!! but fun all the same. and i realized that boots are useful all year round. an essential travel accessory. same with a light long scarf. new york has changed so much. lunch at a whole foods at columbus circle. i got soaked on the way to the guggenheim. get in trouble for taking pictures. sneak in some more pictures. then met julie mae at some bar downtown after the museum. dirty martinis and no dinner is getting dangerous. end up in brooklyn and met up with mike. ate some pizza and drank some much needed red. so good. went back to mike's for tea. oh and a hat is a good travel supply too.

saturday: ah shopping day. get off at nyu. shoes. gold earrings. mmm crispy hot dog. office supplies. chilling with the kitties nina and shiba. walking around the block. telling boys to shut up haha. "you guys are being too loud." "we're just reminiscing about last summer chill out." steak frites avec bearnaise sauce for dindin. so buttery. yummy red. fondu chocolat with vanilla ice cream. not feeling a bar scene after so we walk to 12th ave. there's water. and interesting walk. i made mike and jules my models along the way. saw the nypd horsie stables. i wonder if they like being there. a kitty was following us like a dog. kept mewing. kept following. then went away after ten blocks. we got to 42nd st.

sunday morning: morning. something about the quiet and the blue of the sky and the love vibe i get from it. home. nap for a couple of hours then take the noon shuttle to jfk.

now if vanessa were there too... these would be a whole different kind of pictures altogether. god only knows.
