spain says...

CNN STORY HIGHLIGHTS:
- Truckers say strike by drivers over fuel costs could bring Spain to standstill
- 90,000 drivers called to take part in strike that began early Monday
- Gas stations in Madrid and region of Catalonia began to report fuel shortages
- Europeans faced with higher fuel prices than elsewhere

“The strike was not expected to have a major effect on city food markets until later in the week.”

Let me tell you though, just 24 hours into the transportistas’ strike, they are already sending a strong message. In my office alone we don’t have water because our local supermarket doesn’t have any to sell.

Imagine if the whole world were in on this. I think that would be a very beautiful event to witness.
